Connecting to the Kellogg/NU Network

Connecting Via On-Campus Ethernet:

When you are in any Kellogg building on campus, you can plug your desktop or laptop computer directly into an ethernet connection in the wall if you have an ethernet card.  You'll be connected to both the NU network and the Kellogg network by default.  If you need an additional ethernet connection installed in your office, contact KIS.

The wireless network extends throughout the entire building. To access to the wireless network you must enter the SSID (wireless network name) and connect to VPN. The wireless network name is ksm. To learn how to set up VPN, click here.

Connecting from Off-Campus:

The Kellogg/Northwestern Modem Pools will be retired August 1, 2005. For more information on alternative off-campus connections, please see our Off-Campus Connections to the Internet webpage.
