On February 17, Kellogg launched the Guanghua-Kellogg Executive MBA Program, a two-year joint degree program beginning in Fall 2014. Our partnership with the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University, one of the top academic institutions in China, is a major milestone for expanding Kellogg’s global presence, which is a key element of our strategic vision.

Jennifer Gerrard, Linda Feeney and Marni Futterman led a cross-functional team that simultaneously set up operations for the program while preparing for its announcement – all in a condensed, two-month timeframe! This team gathered input from many teams including MBA and EMBA programs, Global Programs, Marketing and Communications, Alumni Relations and the Dean's Office. Not to mention, collaboration with Beijing involved a 13-hour time difference and international travel!

Amanda Samuels, Chief Communication Officer, nominated the team whose results were nothing short of stunning. More than 50 international media outlets attended the press event announcing the program launch, which lead to widespread coverage in major international and business school media outlets, such as Financial Times and The Economist. More than 4,700 visits were made to the new Kellogg-Guanghua website in the first few weeks after launch and 17,000 alumni opened the announcement email that was sent from the Dean.

We are busily screening applicants for the first cohort, which will begin in September 2014.
