Ant Technology Group: Accelerating toward Business-Facing Solutions

Abstract

In June 2020, the world's most valuable fintech company and operator of the world's largest payment platform announced that it would rebrand: Ant Financial Services Group had received approval from Chinese regulators to become Ant Technology Group. The name reflected a shift in corporate strategy that had been methodically cultivated during the past two years and now sought center stage. While Ant Financial had achieved prominence for its payment platform and consumer-facing wealth management services, the company was now rebranding to underscore its business-facing solutions in a push to expand its global digital economy.
