Mallesh's Miscellany
• I've moonlighted in the past as a guest columnist for The Indian Express, an English-language newspaper in India...
It's Not The Theory, Stupid... (published Dec 08, 2008)
• I was a part of the crew (along with Ben Handel and Prof. Jeff Ely) that invented the all new game of Auction Scrabble. It's fun, it's fast, and it involves sequential ascending auctions- If you're reading my webpage, I'm guessing you've been waiting for this all your life.
Jeff Introduces the game on his blog
The Official Rules
• On occasion, I write for Kellogg Insight. It's a monthly magazine that looks to 'translate' Kellogg faculty research for the rest of the Kellogg community, and the world at large.
When Does Co-ordination Require Centralization?: Based on a paper with the same title by Ricardo Alonso, Wouter Dessein and Niko Matouschek, AER 98(1):145-79.
The Price of Advice: Based on a paper of the same title by Peter Esö and Balázs Szentes, Rand Journal of Economics (forthcoming).
• I presented my paper, Optimal Dynamic Auctions at Microsoft Research, Redmond in 2006. They were kind enough to record the presentation and put it up online. As a disclaimer, I should note that the results stated in the presentation have subsequently been slightly modified, please see my research page for a definitive statement.
