Executive Education's COVID-19 Safety Plans

Updated April 1, 2023

Based on guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), as well as university, government and health entities, we have carefully established protocols designed to promote a healthy environment for our faculty, staff, participants and visitors.

Participants in our classroom programs that include overnight accommodation at the Allen Center or local hotel will no longer be required to complete COVID-19 testing prior to arrival at Kellogg. Masks are not required for participation in Kellogg Executive Education programs.

PLEASE TAKE A COVID TEST IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL. A positive test will require the participant to withdraw from the program and check-out of the Kellogg Allen Center facility.

We will continue to monitor all CDC guidelines and may adjust our requirements if conditions change. Please review this page and the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) before your arrival on campus for more details and any additional updates. If you have questions, please contact us at execed@kellogg.northwestern.edu.

This page is the sole source for information regarding COVID-19 safety measures in place while attending programs on our Chicago and Evanston campuses.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the health requirements to attend an on-campus Executive Education program?

Effective April 1, 2023, no prearrival test results are required for participation in an Executive Education program.

What happens if a participant has a positive COVID-19 test result?

Any positive test result will prohibit the participant from attending the program. If the participant has accommodations at the Kellogg Allen Center and has already started the program, they must check-out of the Allen Center and withdraw from the program. The participant may enroll in another iteration of the program or request a full refund. Any additional expenses incurred due to a positive test are the sole responsibility of the individual. We are unable to provide remote virtual instructions to a participant that has withdrawn.

Do I need to wear a mask on campus?

Masks are not required anywhere on Northwestern’s campus. If you are staying at a local hotel or dining outside of a Northwestern building, you will be required to adhere to the masking policies of the hotel or restaurant.

What are the vaccination requirements for Kellogg faculty and staff?

Northwestern University requires vaccination for all faculty, staff and enrolled students on campus. Any exceptions to the policy require University approval. Any outside vendors on campus are required to comply with their company’s health and safety requirements
