Lodging

Where will I stay and how much will it cost?
Your program fee includes accommodations, most meals, coffee and snack breaks, and receptions. During your stay, classes, study groups, meals, and receptions will be held in the James L. Allen Center, our executive education facility. The Allen Center also contains private bedrooms with private bathrooms, and accommodations for most programs will be held in the Allen Center. However, demand for programs occasionally requires that participants stay at a nearby hotel. If that is necessary, all arrangements (including daily transportation between the hotel and the Allen Center) will be made for you.

If I live close to Northwestern University, do I have to stay at the Allen Center?
We highly encourage all participants to stay here because of evening sessions and late night study groups. If you have a particular need, please speak with your program manager.

Where can I stay if my flight arrangements require that I arrive a day early?
Early check-ins are permitted for an additional fee based on availability. After enrollment, you may contact our administrative office at 847-467-7026 to reach your program manager for details.

When will I receive reading and logistical materials?
You will receive reading materials and a packet of information that includes recommended transportation services approximately three weeks prior to the program.

I am not a U.S. citizen. Do I need a student visa to enter the U.S. for an executive program?
Executive Education programs are non-degree, short programs. They are not considered to be full-time courses and do not lead to a degree, therefore participants are ineligible to enter the U.S. on a non-immigrant student visa category (F or J). Program participants who need a visa should apply for a B category visa and should state the intent of their visit to the consular official at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate, and to the immigration officer at the port of entry.

Are English classes available before the programs begin?
No. To get the most from the Kellogg experience, you need to be proficient enough in the English language to comprehend reading materials and contribute to classroom and study group sessions.
