Many of the best technology managers have risen up solely within the technical arena and have a limited appreciation of the roles and perspectives of the other functions within their companies. This executive development program is specifically designed to meet the needs of those promising, mid-level managers in research, development and engineering whose further success may very well depend on their ability to fully understand and effectively communicate with the non-technical executives of their organizations.
The program provides participants with the skills, concepts, language, and tools they need to represent their function effectively in decisions that must include technological considerations. The program does not train participants to be marketers, accountants, strategic planners, etc. Rather, its emphasis is on how executives in other functions think, the decisions they address, the conceptual models and vocabulary they use, and the way they view technology in the context of their organization. |
