EMBA students have selected from among the following sample electives:

Advertising Strategy provides a balanced analysis of advertising strategy and execution. Brand position, media, creative strategies and the effectiveness of advertising are examined.

Analytical Decision Modeling emphasis of the course is on systematic, logical, rigorous approach to problem solving using spreadsheets and requires good working knowledge of Excel.

Business Marketing from the perspective of a marketing manager, we will examine many concepts and theories from the behavioral and social sciences, and analyze their usefulness for developing business marketing strategies.

Business of Biotech focuses on the process of bringing life science innovations to the market.  We will explore how to best capture value from innovation by analyzing different industry cases.

Designing and Managing Marketing Channels focuses on major strategic issues which companies must confront as they evaluate the adequacy of their existing routes to the marketplace.

Entrepreneurial Finance will cover the following topics in an engaging and dynamic, challenging environment: Identifying Opportunities, Technology and Entrepreneurship, Valuation, Bank Financing, Venture Capital, Purchasing a Business and other Encompassing Issues.

Game Theory introduces the subject of game theory and strategic thinking with some illustrations from management and related subjects. While the mathematical background required is minimal, the course does assume the ability to go through rigorous analytical reasoning.  

Global Initiatives in Management is designed to give students a practical learning experience and strategic insights about doing business in another culture. Students travel together for a 10 day visit to the country or regions of study.

Innovation Strategy & Management will apply a theoretical and applied approach to understanding Innovation Strategy & Management from the perspective of the senior corporate manager. This course will address innovation as a holistic strategic management imperative not limited to Research & Development or New Product Development.

International Finance seeks to provide you with a working knowledge of international financial instruments, markets, and institutions.

Investments focuses on understanding key concepts related to capital markets. The first half of the class will cover basic portfolio theory and the second half will cover derivative securities.

Market Research offers a conceptual "toolbox" for identifying the information that is necessary to define, analyze, and solve marketing problems.

Marketing Channels presents a framework and tools to develop an appropriate market access strategy and to manage partner relationships throughout your distribution channels. The motivation of channel partners are discussed, through a combination of lecture/discussion and case analysis.

Securities Analysis focuses on the use of financial statement information, such as earning and cash flows, to value various corporate securities. The central questions to be answered are how risky is an investment strategy and what is one willing to pay for key corporate claims such as equity and debt.

Strategic Issues in Commodity Industries models for the analysis of commodity markets include powerful frameworks for forecasting price trends, incorporate real options and herd behaviors in pricing models, and economic drivers public policies and regulations.

Wall Street, Hedge Funds and LBO Funds focuses on the key role that investment banks, LBO funds and hedge funds play in the M&A and corporate finance markets and their influence on corporate decision-making and governance.
