Programs

The Kellogg School of Management offers six principal doctoral programs. The departments of Accounting Information and Management, Finance, Management and Organizations, Marketing, and Operations Management offer individual doctoral programs. The Management and Strategy and Managerial Economics and Decision Sciences departments offer a joint program in Managerial Economics and Strategy. Additionally, the Management and Organizations program has a joint doctoral program with the Sociology Department in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences.

The interdisciplinary approach to doctoral study enables students to take classes and work with faculty across Kellogg and Northwestern. The Kellogg School’s innovative curriculum furnishes students with the methodological and theoretical tools they need to move to the next level of doctoral education – formulating their own research agenda. Our faculty fosters a supportive and collaborative research culture that encourages students to think creatively and push the boundaries of current business research.

Each program provides details on its typical course of study and current research. A list of courses and descriptions may be found under Kellogg’s Doctoral Seminars and the Kellogg Course Catalog.
