New Student Orientation Programs

To help new PhD students acclimate themselves to the Kellogg-Northwestern academic community, there are a few orientation programs scheduled in September 2013,

Kellogg's New PhD Student Orientation and PhD Tech Camp – Monday, September 16, 2013
The program begins with lunch at the Allen Center, at 12:30p.m., and then the orientation program follows (tentatively scheduled in room 153, Allen Center).

An introduction to the Kellogg School of Management Management will be provided – the course of study for PhD students and the resources and support services available to them. The program will outline the research and academic communities, computing/research resources (databases and subscription services, scientific software, and behavioral laboratories/subject pools), and student support services found at Kellogg and Northwestern. Additionally, there will be tips/advice on how to manage your workload and to meet program requirements on a timely basis. There will be opportunities for questions as students look ahead to registration and the academic milestones to be achieved each year. The agenda will be available this summer.

New Graduate Student Orientation
– Wednesday, September 18, 2013

This program is managed by the Graduate School at Northwestern University, and all Kellogg doctoral students should attend.  An agenda will be available this summer. The program begins at 9:00 a.m. at Pick-Staiger Concert Hall.

International Graduate Student Orientation – Friday, September 20, 2013
This program is managed by the International Office at Northwestern University. It is important that all international students attend. More information about this orientation program will be available on the International Office's website this summer.
