Application Process

Part-time or distance-learning doctoral study is not available at the Kellogg School of Management. Entry is in the fall quarter only. The online application is made available in early October, and the application deadline is December 31. Applicants apply through Northwestern's Graduate School for doctoral programs that are based at the Kellogg School of Management. The Graduate School permits applicants to apply to only one program. Therefore, the applicant should choose the program that best suits his or her overall research interests and general program of study.

Applying Online

The next available entry is fall 2009 with an application deadline of December 31, 2008.

The online application form for fall 2009 will be available during the first week of October 2008 through ApplyYourself. The online application is maintained by Northwestern's Graduate School. Once the application is submitted electronically, it will be sent directly to the Kellogg School for processing.

Please note that the application for fall 2008 is currently posted online through ApplyYourself and CANNOT be used for fall 2009 admission.

Supporting Documents

Please refer to the Application Checklist when submitting documents to Kellogg. The Application Checklist itemizes each required document (including comprehensive exams: GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, and IELTS) to be submitted with the application.
