Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Inspiration Days (SIEID)
Passionate about using your MBA to positively impact the world? Eager to chart your social innovation path at Kellogg? Seeking fellow classmates that share your interest in food security, health/wellness, clean energy, water access, social justice, poverty mitigation, etc.? Join us for Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship Inspiration Days (SIEID, pronounced “seed”) at Kellogg! This is your opportunity to engage with classmates, faculty and staff around topics you care about BEFORE the hustle and bustle of your MBA career is in full swing.
Over the course of a day and a half, we will help you find classmates who share your social innovation interests and prepare you to use your time at Kellogg to maximize the impact you’ll have on the issues important to you. You will hear from Kellogg social entrepreneurs about how they’re using their MBAs to start world changing businesses and from Kellogg faculty and staff about opportunities you will have throughout your time at Kellogg.
- Monday evening, 8/18 – SIEID will kick off with a networking BBQ
- Tuesday, 8/19 – We will work together all day, getting a crash course on entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship and design
- Wednesday through lunch, 8/20 – We'll equip you with information on the resources available to you at Kellogg and help you think about how to best use your time here. We’ll wrap just after lunch, allowing you plenty of time to get your house in order before you depart for KWEST later in the week.
This session is free of charge. You will be asked to sign a formal letter committing your attendance, as we want to avoid any last minute cancelations, preventing fellow classmates the opportunity to participate. SIEID is ideal for entering MBAs who have an interest in social innovation and/or entrepreneurship. No experience is necessary to apply. You are not required to have an idea for a project or venture, but please do come with an open mind and ideas of what interests you. Be ready to join forces with your classmates to work toward a common good. Email questions to Jamie Jones
, Director of Social Entrepreneurship.
