2010 Beacon Capital Executives-in-Residence
The SEEK program and Net Impact are excited to announce that the 2010 Beacon Capital Executives-in-Residence are Kevin Jones and David Murphy. Kevin Jones is the founding principal of Good Capital, an investment firm that increases the flow of capital to innovative ventures creating market-based solutions to inequality and poverty. David Murphy is President and CEO of Better World Books, a for-profit social enterprise that collects used books and sells them online to raise money for literacy initiatives worldwide.
As part of the Beacon Program, they will be speaking to Kellogg alumni and part-time MBA students at room 147 at Wieboldt Hall on May 11, from 5:00-6:15pm, with a reception following the talk. Please join us in hearing them speak about social impact investing from both the investor and investee perspective!
A talk entitled "Social Impact Investing: How to make your dollars work for the greater good" will take place on May 12, from 12:15 -1:15 pm, in G40. A reception will follow.
