Associate Dean Emeritus Ed Wilson announced as new
Associate Dean and Director of Alumni Relations

Dear Kellogg School Community:

It is with sincere joy and excitement that I share with you the news of Associate Dean Emeritus Ed Wilson rejoining our team as the Associate Dean and Director of Alumni Relations for the Kellogg School of Management, effective immediately.

As many of you know, Ed has been with Kellogg since 1972 in numerous positions from admissions to student affairs to director of the EMBA program. He went to Emeritus status in 2002, but stayed engaged with Kellogg through the Global Initiatives in Management Program and as a trusted advisor to me on several occasions.

Since starting at Kellogg Ed may have directly interacted with more students than anyone in the 100 year history of the school. When I travel around the world and meet alumni one of the first questions I am often asked is: “How is Dean Wilson?” Because of the respect and caring that I have seen exhibited toward him, I could not think of anyone better to help me reengage our Kellogg alumni around the world. When I suggested the idea to my senior associate deans, they were all in agreement that we ask Ed to rejoin our team in this important role and he enthusiastically agreed.

Ed received his Kellogg MBA in 1984 through the EMBA program. He and his wife Jean have both been long time supporters of Kellogg and Northwestern University, where he has served on numerous committees.

Please join me in supporting Ed as he takes on this important role on our journey forward.

Warmest personal regards,

Dean Dipak Jain
