Steve Crosby

President & Publisher

Small Times Media, created in January 2001, is the first publication to serve the fast-growing small tech industry. Small Times' bimonthly magazine, daily Web site and daily subscription news service deliver cutting edge news coverage and perspective to a global audience of entrepreneurs, corporate strategists, scientists and government leaders following the latest developments in nanotechnology and microsystems.

Crosby directed the news coverage at Small Times for two years before he was promoted to president and publisher in March 2003. He is frequently quoted as a small tech source for the mainstream media and has served as a keynote speaker and moderated nanotechnology investing forums at Harvard Business School, with the NanoBusiness Alliance in Manhattan and at other national conferences.

Crosby was executive editor of the Lansing (MI) State Journal from 1995 until joining Small Times in April 2001. Prior to that, he was the top news executive at daily newspapers in Lafayette, IN, and Wausau, WI. A native of Rochester, N.Y., Crosby worked as a reporter and editor at the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle for 10 years and was part of the reporting team that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, breaking news category, for coverage of a leak at a nuclear power plant.
