Seasoned Entrepreneur

 

 

Ajay Jain is a seasoned entrepreneur currently involved in setting up a Nanotechnology Service Provider in San Francisco bay area.  In 2002, Jain's highly successful start up, Mokume Software, a real-time enterprise company was acquired by Versant Corp (Nasdaq: VSNT).  At Mokume, Jain drove product vision, market creation, and forged key partnerships with several multi-billion dollar companies including Rockwell Automation, Tyco International, and Larsen & Toubro.

Jain successfully nurtured and sold his 3D software and E-commerce company, QDecor Inc., in 2000. Prior to that, Jain co-founded MarketFirst Software - now acquired by Pivotal. Jain has held senior management positions at Clarify, where he managed the worldwide IT and Applications group. He also worked on Clarify's SFA product, which gained recognition as the number two product in the industry. At Netscape, Jain led the cohesive internal database and systems architecture group which supported Netscape's hyper-growth. He designed the marketing automation system that generated over $30M in revenues in the first year. Prior to Netscape, Jain held key engineering and IT positions at Quantum and Cadence Design Systems.

Jain holds an MBA from Santa Clara University, an MS in Computer and Information Science from Clarkson University and a Bachelors in Mathematics and Economics from Delhi University, India. Jain is co-author of the book Basic Mathematical Economics.
