Welcome to the Greater China
Business Conference 2012
May 18-19, 2012, Friday-Saturday
Kellogg School of Management
James L. Allen Center, Evanston, IL
The Organizing Committee of the Kellogg Greater China Business Conference cordially invites you to join us for the 2012 conference, to be held on May 18-19, 2012.
After experiencing almost 30 years of impressive economic development with its markets expanding and growing during some of the western world's most troubled economic times, China has become one of the most important players in the global economy.
For China to continue its rise, however, it must adapt. The political, economic, and social factors within China are constantly changing, in part in reaction to developments on the global stage. While recognizing the enormous potential of what China has to offer, companies may not fully grasp the unique characteristics of the Chinese market or be able to adequately anticipate future trends. The theme, “China: Navigating the Waves of Transformation”, captures how this year’s conference will provide insights into the underlying forces that are shaping the Chinese market and how organizations can achieve maximum financial and social impact. We hope to offer intellectually stimulating dialogues to our audience and leave you with actionable strategies and insights to navigate the business environment in the Greater China Region.
This year we will host Sanjay Khosla, President of Kraft International Commercial at Kraft Foods; David Roman, Chief Marketing Officer of Lenovo; and Jeff Schwartz, Chairman of Global Logistics Properties as keynote speakers on Saturday, May 19th. On the afternoon of May 18th, we will hold a special session on foreign direct investment from China featuring a keynote speech by Robert Lee Holden, former governor of Missouri and Chairman of the US Midwest China Association.
We look forward to meeting you at the conference!
