Greater China Business Conference
February 14, 2009
Welcome to the Kellogg Greater China Business Conference of 2009. The
leadership team is extremely excited to have the opportunity to host
this event, now in its third year, which will bring together industry
leaders, students and faculty to share their knowledge of and interest
in doing business in China.
This year, the theme for the conference is From the World’s Factory to
the World’s Innovators. In this “post-Olympics” era, China is not only
faced with the challenge of sustainable development but also the task
of becoming an area for innovation. While more multinationals have
relocated their research centers to China and domestic companies are
now developing their own patents, numerous obstacles still need to be
overcome to reach this new innovative dream. This conference will
provide a forum for exploration into these legal, economic and cultural
challenges and a discussion of relevant strategies to overcome them
through key speakers, interactive panel discussions, and networking
opportunities throughout the day.
We invite you to join us at the Kellogg School of Management James L.
Allen Center at Northwestern University on Saturday, February 14, 2009.
We look forward to seeing you at the conference.
Sincerely,
Jessica Yau and Xin Ma
