| On January 30th 2010, Kellogg hosted its inaugural Africa Business Conference themed ‘Emerging Africa – Value Creation in the Next Frontier’. Nearly 300 attendees heard presentations from renowned speakers including Hon. Joseph Nyagah, Minister of Cooperative Development and Marketing, Republic of Kenya (Kellogg MBA, ’77), Hon. Tunde Omotoba, Former Minister of Aviation, Nigeria (Kellogg MBA, ’03), Mr. Arnold Ekpe, CEO of Ecobank, the premier pan-African banking institution, Mrs. Tas Anvaripour, Manager, Infrastructure Division, Private Sector Group, African Development Bank, Mr. Leke Alder, principal of Alder Consulting and author, and Prof. Vijay Mahajan, author of the book, ‘Africa Rising’ and the John P. Harbin Centennial Chair in Business at the Graduate School of Business, University of Texas Austin. |

This year’s conference themed “Africa’s Golden Age: Seizing Opportunities in an Exciting New Era”, will highlight Africa’s coming of age, marked by the 17 African countries that celebrated 50 years of national sovereignty in 2010. It will tell Africa’s remarkable story, presenting attendees with a unique insight into the myriad of business opportunities that arise each day, while showcasing the emerging leaders driving this change. |
