| NU team wins Fed Challenge November 5, 2007 - Northwestern University's Fed Challenge team won the Midwest regional November 5, at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. They defeated 15 teams from the area including University of Chicago and Notre Dame. The contest involved presenting a mock FOMC meeting and then answering fifteen minutes of questioning by Federal Reserve Economists. This was the fourth time in a row that Northwestern has won the regional and the team will go on to attempt to defend its national championship at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington D.C. on November 26 and 27 2007.
