Promoting
Your Company
Presentations
Company
presentations provide our students with specific information
about your industry, company, career paths and corporate
culture, but they are not required. If you wish to hold
a presentation, please refer to the information below.
For more details on presentations, refer to the Presentation
Guide (PDF 101 KB / 9 pgs).
We have changed the way in which we schedule presentations. Rather than contacting you to discuss alternative choices if your requested dates/times are not available, we will schedule the presentation in the next available slot. In this manner, we hope to avoid the protracted scheduling time we experienced in the past and have date and time confirmations out to companies within two weeks.
Although we can’t guarantee accommodating your choices, please note in the comments box if being in the Jacobs Center is more important to you than the actual date/time of your event or if you would be willing to change your venue and/or time to hold your event on one of your chosen dates.
Sign-ups began at 11:00 AM CDT on Tuesday, June 3, 2008.
- After June 3rd, 2008 at 11:00 AM CDT, we will begin accepting the 2008-2009
Presentation Reservations online. Your event
cannot be included on the calendar until our office
has received this request.
- After
our office confirms a date and time for your presentation,
companies holding an off-campus presentation must
arrange their presentation with the appropriate facility
and then notify our office. Click for a list of popular
Presentation Locations.
- If you are holding your event in the Jacobs Center and wish to arrange for refreshments or lunch, click for a list of Caterers.
- Please
consult your Industry Relationship Manager
before making any changes to your presentation date
or time.
- Each
company may conduct one 2nd year presentation and
one 1st year presentation, OR one combined
1st and 2nd year presentation.
- 2nd
year only presentations will begin September
22, 2008.
- 1st
and 2nd year combined presentations will begin
October 13, 2008. (Please
note: If you have interviews scheduled in rounds
1, 2 or 3, you will not be able to conduct a combined
presentation before your closed invitations are
due.)
- 1st
year only presentations will begin October 27 , 2008.
-
Each company is allowed one hour for its presentation.
We recommend 15-20 minutes of lecture and 40-45 minutes
of mingling.
- Evening
presentations are scheduled Mondays through Thursdays
at 5:15 and 7:00 pm. (We will schedule no Wednesday
evening events during winter quarter due to the scheduled
Global Initiatives in Management class.)
- Lunch
presentations are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays
and Fridays at 12:15 pm.
- On-campus
presentations in the Donald P. Jacobs Center must
start at 5:15 p.m. (or 12:15 pm for lunch presentations)
and be out of the classroom at 6:15 p.m. (or 1:15
pm for lunch presentations).
- Our
office is unable to guarantee attendance at your event.
However, you may send the Career Management Center
up to three posters two weeks prior to your event
with information about the date, time and location
of the presentation and we will display the posters
around the building. (At the students' request, we
do not stuff mailboxes with flyers.) More importantly,
we will post your presentation information online
on the internal Kellogg Calendar.
If you have a username and password for the Career Management System from Interview Reservation Sign Up it may be still be used.
If your company is new to the Career Management System please contact an Industry Relationship Manager for a username and password.
