Submit Job Description

The purpose of the job description detail is to give students the most complete yet concise information about the opportunities available at your company. The correctly completed job description detail is the most important resource our students have to plan their recruitment strategy for the year.

Please enter your information by:

  • August 1 for full-time on-campus interview schedules.
  • October 12 for intern on-campus interview schedules.

Please contact your Industry Relationship Manager if you have any questions.

Note: You will not be able to complete the job description information until you have a confirmed interview date.

Note: On the CMS entry form, the items with an asterisk (*) are required and black text items are optional.

To get to the job description detail entry page:

  • Enter the CMS.
  • Enter your username and password and e-mail address (if requested).
  • From your home page in the CMS, select the "On-Campus Interviews" tab.
  • Click "job title" for the job for which you wish to enter information. You will see the partial information that is currently entered for your job.
  • Click the "edit interview information" link at the right side of the page. (Please note: if you do not see this link at the top of the job detail page, please try the steps at the end of this page.)

Entering Your Job Description Details:

You will be asked to enter the following information for each position:

  • Interview Request End: This is the date by which students must submit a resume through the system for closed list (invite) consideration. There will be a system default date of one week prior to your closed list due date already entered. You may change this date if you wish but the date you choose may not be later than your closed list due date.
  • Interview Request Via Company Website: If it is required that candidates apply via your company website, please be sure the Yes radio button is selected and the direct application website is entered into the field below. Please note that students will upload their resume through the CMS regardless of whether or not they will need to apply through a company website. This will make it easier for you to invite candidates through the system.
  • Cover Letter: Unless you specify that it is optional, the system will require each candidate to submit a cover letter.
  • Work authorization: Pick the choice that best fits this job. If more explanation is necessary or you select the "Some Restrictions" option, please add details in the "job description" area.
  • For the following areas, select as many options as are appropriate for the job (note: these selections apply to the job, not the company): job regions, job state, job country, job functions.
  • Allow students without permanent U.S. work authorization to … These check boxes will tell the system whether to allow non-U.S. work-authorized students to either apply for or bid on your schedules.

To allow any Kellogg student to bid for an Open interview slot for this position, click "yes."
If your company cannot consider students without permanent U.S. work authorization, click "no."

If your company cannot consider students without permanent U.S. work authorization, click "no."
  • Note: these are defaulted to "no", so if your company has no work authorization requirements and you can hire any candidate regardless of work authorization status, please be sure to click the "yes" radio buttons for both of these categories.
  • Note: no additional work is required by a company to allow non-U.S work authorized candidates to intern with a company between the first and second years of MBA school– students can obtain a student visa for the summer.
  • Interview Attire: Select the type of attire that is appropriate for the students to wear to the interview, either business attire or business casual. Please be aware that students may have other commitments which may require them to be in a suit even if you select Business Casual.

  • Job description: Enter the job description for this position. We recommend that you limit your job description to 250 words or less.

  • Click "save" at the bottom of the form to complete.
  • Note: clicking "cancel" at the bottom of this page does not cancel your interviews — it just takes you back to the job details page without saving any of the changes to the "edit interview information" page.
