Personal Financial Planning Seminar

Most of us spend more time planning our vacations than our personal finances. While we normally get an annual physical and dental check-up, we don't bother with a financial one. To help remedy this imbalance, the KACNY invited Kellogg alums to attend an educational talk on personal financial planning. Attendees received a checklist and worksheets to help better plan their financial future. They also picked up some ideas in the areas of cash management, risk management, investments, taxes, retirement planning, and estate planning. The program was conducted by Carol Spomer, MBA (Kellogg), and Kelly Imamura, JD, LLM (Tax) CPA, and CFP (University of Chicago – B.S. Economics, Columbia Law School, and NYU Law and Business Schools), both financial representatives with the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. The event was held at the unofficial KACNY home, The Williams Club.

Special thanks to Carol Spomer ’78 for planning this event.

Exclusive Wine Tasting at The India House Club

As leaves are changing colors and nights becoming colder, it is easy to feel winter just around the corner. The KACNY celebrated the season with a very special wine tasting sponsored by The India House Club and WineSpectatorSchool.com. Attendees got to see Gloria Maroti '97 of WineSpectatorSchool.com in action and enjoyed a high quality wine tasting at one of the most exclusive private clubs in the city, The India House Club. The India House Club is one of the private clubs in the city that is offering special membership privileges for our members (see the benefits page). Take this opportunity to tour the outstanding facilities of this prestigious institution--selected members of India House Club and the staff will be present to answer questions.

Special thanks to Javed Rahman ’97 for planning this event.
