“As an international student, I wanted to be sure my wife would also be happy with our MBA experience. The Joint Ventures group has been there to integrate, support and advise us, especially as we were expecting our first child. Through JV, my wife created everlasting friendships with other pregnant spouses and enjoyed an incredible pregnancy. Now the whole family is enrolled in the Kellogg adventure with our little boy being part of Kellogg Kids!”

Spouses and Partners

Kellogg is a place where your partner and children feel as much at home as you do, where deans host the traditional Thanksgiving dinner for families of Kellogg students, faculty and staff, and where you can always find a friend to lend a hand.

Nearly 40% of our students are married or accompanied by a partner. Recognizing that you’re in this together, a group of partners in 1982 created Joint Ventures and Kellogg Kids to ensure that you feel welcomed and to provide an informal support network.

Joint Ventures is a way for spouses and partners (“JVs”) to meet, share interests, take in a movie or explore Chicago together. JVs organize and host a variety of social events for both of you to enjoy. The club also coordinates an informal job network for spouses and partners.

In addition to providing important resources about schools and babysitters, Kellogg Kids makes the graduate school experience a time of fun and exploration for parents and children. You’ll feel at home strolling Evanston’s conveniently located avenues of shops and restaurants, its gracious, tree-lined residential streets, lakefront parks and beaches and the many excellent schools and educational resources. Yet the excitement and opportunities of downtown Chicago are only a short drive or train ride away.
