Recruiting
The
Career
Management Center maintains recruiting relationships
with companies worldwide, including U.S. companies
with operations in other countries. The CMC has developed
a series of programs to support international students
with all aspects of the job search process, and it
regularly updates its strategic recommendations as
visa requirements change.
Although the success of individual students depends
greatly on their relevant skills and experiences,
the U.S. requirement of a permanent work visa makes
it very difficult for international students to find
full-time employment in the United States after graduation.
Most U.S. firms are not in a position to hire a person
who has only a training period remaining on a student
visa. However, some U.S. companies will hire international
students for one of their offices abroad.
