“Through the Kellogg School’s finance program, I have developed an acute understanding of the fi nance field and, more importantly, the intellectual agility to navigate this ever-changing field.
The foundational finance classes and extensive offering of electives piqued
my interests, and in each of these courses, I was motivated to excel.
My learning seamlessly continued outside the classroom in frequent interactions with leading fi nance practitioners who attended Kellogg’s finance conferences and served as guest speakers.
Kellogg’s finance program is indeed a very comprehensive learning experience.”

Departments and Majors

Kellogg is dedicated to providing you with a program tailor-made to your ambitions and interests. Beyond the nine required core courses, the curriculum is flexible and broad, allowing you to develop an individualized course of study.

Every department and professional program offers one or more academic major. A list of all Kellogg majors can be found here.

Academic Departments address the business principles that every management student must know.

Professional Programs offer coursework in specialized areas of study.

Recognizing the investment and personal commitment students make in their education, Kellogg has structured its program to enable our students to develop an individualized course of study. Beginning as early as the second quarter of their first year, students choose from a wide range of continually evolving elective classes.

Students have the freedom to elect their courses and typically concentrate, or major, in two or three areas, often a combination of academic fields, professional programs and interdisciplinary programs. For example, a student interested in starting his or her own business might major in Management & Strategy, Finance and Entrepreneurship. The student looking to lead a historic preservation trust would possibly focus on Marketing, Public/Nonprofit Management and Real Estate.
