The Beacon
Capital Partners Executive in Residence program is a unique
opportunity for the Kellogg School to invite a world class
leader in social enterprise to spend a few days talking with
the entire Kellogg community about important issues in nonprofit
management.
The 2007 Beacon
Capital Partners Executive in Residence, Jim Scherr (KSM '89), was the first Olympian ever selected to lead the United States Olympic Committee (USOC). He joined the staff of the USOC in 2000 following his highly successful tenure as executive director of USA Wrestling. On Wednesday, October 10, 2007, Mr. Scherr shared his perspective on leadership with students and alumni.
The second Executive in Residence was Cassandra Pulley (KSM '76) former SVP Public Responsibility and President, Sara Lee Foundation, on November 8-9, 2006. The first
ever Beacon Capital Partners Executive in Residence was Christopher
A. Crane, President & CEO of Opportunity International,
who visited the Kellogg School on May 18, 2006. Crane delivered
two lectures to the Kellogg School community: "Opportunity
International: Providing Financial Services for the Poor"
and "A Business Solution to Poverty."
