Capital Fellows Program
“Empower
outstanding graduating Kellogg School students to experience
leadership in non-profit and public organizations through
a one-year fellowship.”
Program
Overview
As envisioned
by Dean Dipak C. Jain, the Kellogg School of Management is
in the business of producing socially responsible global leaders.
To that end, with the support of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Leventhal
and Beacon Capital Partners, the faculty and the student-led
Social Impact Club are launching the Beacon Capital Partners
Fellows Program (BCFP) to provide new leadership experiences
for MBA students.
BCFP encourages
graduating Kellogg School students to develop outstanding
projects in nonprofit and public organizations through one-year
fellowships at selected institutions. Fellows work closely
with senior management, developing unique projects that will
generate measurable results to the organization and ultimately
to the community. The program benefits both parties: students
gain rewarding leadership experience, developing a project
with major impact and measurable results to society; while
the nonprofit and public organizations benefit from having
a valuable resource, an MBA student who has a differentiated
set of skills.
Furthermore,
Fellows are supported throughout the process by having a mentor
who is a high-level leader in the organization and by a Kellogg
School faculty adviser sponsored by the Social Enterprise
at Kellogg program.
The unique
aspect of this program is that the salary for the Fellowship
will be funded by the participating organization and matched
by a grant from Beacon Capital Partners. |
