Part-Time MBA Exchange Opportunities
Participating Schools

Last updated 02/14/2013

Students in Kellogg’s Part-Time MBA program have the opportunity to participate in short-term, study abroad programs at Kellogg’s partner institutions. These programs provide students with the opportunity to learn about business from a different perspective, experience another culture, and network with students, faculty, and professionals from around the world.

Logistics of the Program

  • Classes and Registration – Students must register for these programs at Kellogg as foreign study.
  • Commitment - Accepting a spot on an exchange program is a commitment for students to represent Kellogg, as well as themselves. Students are required to sign an agreement to this effect.
  • Exchange Program fees – Students must pay these fees directly to the host institution in keeping with all deadlines. They are also responsible for additional costs associated with the exchange, such as flights, food, etc.
  • Eligibility – Exchange opportunities are open to any part-time student who is currently enrolled in their MBA when the exchange program is being offered. Given the limited number of spots for each program, alumni enrolled in the Degree Enhancement Program are not eligible for the exchange program.
  • Financial Aid – Students may receive additional financial aid to cover the costs of their flights to and from the study abroad destination and program fees. Students may also be eligible for aid to cover housing costs.
  • Host School Support - Assistance with course registration, visa application, and search for housing is provided by the host school.
  • Insurance - Students must purchase HTH insurance to cover emergency care while abroad.
  • International major – Students may count one credit from the exchange toward their international major.
  • Tuition – Tuition will be paid to Kellogg, in keeping with credit hours earned at the study abroad program.

Answer the following question, totaling no more than two typed pages (double-spaced). Send your answers via email as an attached Word file to Global Programs by the deadline.

If you are applying to more than one school, please submit a separate essay for each school. Please do not combine your school choices into one essay.

Please state your reasons for wanting to participate in the student exchange program with this particular school or in this particular country. Feel free to add any information that will aid the selection committee in making a decision.
