[Course Description for Waivers at Kellogg School of Management]
Among the topics that this core course covers are economic analysis and optimal decisions, consumer choice and the demand for products, cost curves, market structures, pricing and non-price competition. Cases the problems are used for an understanding of the economic tools and their potential use for solving real-world problems. Topics are:

  1. Demand and elasticity

  3. Consumer choice and demand elasticities
  4. Production, technological efficiency
  5. Cost functions, monopoly maximization, pricing
