Kellogg
Entrepreneurship Internship Program (KEIP)
Description
and Requirements
Kellogg's Levy Institute for Entrepreneurial Practice offers first-year students the opportunity to experience entrepreneurship first-hand through an eight-week internship at a small business located in the Chicagoland region. Host companies, many of which have hosted KEIP interns in the past, provide projects and environments that offer students experiential learning.
In addition to practical experience, students earn $1,000 per week. The program has several features:
- Students begin and end the internship on the specific dates (June 16-August 8);
- Students meet as a group with the program facilitator three times during the summer, in the evening, to discuss what is happening. The facilitator is available to meet personally with students at other times.
- Students
prepare a mid-term report at the end of the 5th week.
- Students prepare a slide presentation to Levy Institute faculty in the Fall Quarter, including an analysis of the host company, its business and owners, and how the experience affected the student's career plans.
