Innovating
Social Change Conference (ISC Conference)
October 3, 2007, James L. Allen Center
Contacts: Lisa Tan
and Liz Lippert
The
Kellogg School of Management is proud to host the 8th Innovating
Social Change Conference. As terms such as sustainability,
CSR, and Social Enterprise appear more frequently in corporate
conversations, today’s leaders are faced with the challenge
of not only incorporating these words into daily conversations,
but also translating them into business initiatives. Kellogg
students strive to grow into socially responsible global leaders,
and will increasingly have to address these issues in their
careers, regardless of industry focus or job function. The
conference will bring together business and community leaders,
as well as highly engaged students to explore the challenges
associated with making this vocabulary actionable and relevant
to corporations’ strategic planning processes.

Customers
today are equipped with a greater degree of knowledge and
sophistication with regard to the goods and services they
choose to purchase. In order to remain competitive, companies
must also become more sophisticated in their approach to marketing
and the innovation process. Traditional marketing frameworks
still form the cornerstone of most marketing programs, but
have been increasingly adapted to meet the challenges brought
on by today’s empowered customers. The 2008 Kellogg
Marketing
Conference, Breaking the Rules, will take a closer look
at the role these classic frameworks play in today’s
marketing landscape. We will bring together leading academics,
authors and industry professionals in order to shed light
on this dynamic topic.

In
recent years, India has become known as a destination for
quality talent at affordable prices. But, as the India story
continues to develop, it is becoming clear that India has
much more to offer. Marketing India’s virtues to the
world, as well as its products and services domestically and
abroad will become increasingly important as India blazes
its way towards becoming an economic superpower. What will
India, its companies, people, and values be known for? With
“Branding India, Indians, and Indianness” as its
theme, the India Business conference will provide a forum
for the Kellogg School’s renowned faculty to discuss
this issue with the very best business leadership from India.
In addition to covering the overall business outlook in India,
we will explore India’s unique value proposition in
diverse areas such as hospitality, entertainment, and wellness.
With cutting edge panels and fresh keynote speakers, this
year’s India
Business Conference aims to be broad as well as innovative.
We hope you will join us next year for what promises to be
the premier conference covering Indian business.
