Kellogg Full-Time MBA Program

To many of you it’s not a surprise to many to see initiatives at Business Schools directed towards women. Compared to law school and medical schools where the ratio of men and women is equal, the percentage of women in MBA Programs hovers around 30%. Kellogg has taken very seriously the charge to help women see the value of the MBA degree and has implemented many programs, partnerships and initiatives. We have been a partner with the Forté Foundation (www.fortefoundation.org) since 2002 and together with many other schools and sponsors we are positively promoting the MBA. At Kellogg we take the charge to grow female business leaders very seriously and wanted to call attention to one of our efforts.

The Women’s Leadership Workshop is a two-day workshop for women early in their careers and in industries or companies where an MBA is not considered part of the normal career path. Through workshops led by top Kellogg professors, our attendees take away tangible skills on negotiating, marketing themselves, and leading teams. Not only do they learn valuable skills but they also learn how the MBA can be a powerful tool in accelerating their careers. I have the pleasure of working with a team of 13 Kellogg students who for three years now have made this effort possible.
