Final week is over and KWEST is to start

I finished the last final of the summer quarter three hours ago. It is quite a relief to finally be able to put away all the books and class notes, and just relax. Although I know that grades do not matter much in business school, I still get into a competitive mode to prove that I am learning at least as much as all my classmates.

The KWEST trips start tomorrow. I am heading to Alaska, where Sarah Palin resides. I am surely looking forward to prove that you can indeed see Russia from the tip of Alaska. The weather forecast looks quite favorable for the first two days, but for the rest it will be raining. I have nothing to complain, however. One KWEST trip is supposed to head to Bermuda. That trip is under the threat of Hurricane Bill, and the current go/no-go status is not clear.

KWEST trips are supposed to be the greatest bonding opportunity. In the trip, you are not supposed to ask where your trip mates came from, what they did before Kellogg, what’s their career plan, etc. In other words, all the lame questions are prohibited, so you have to think hard and dig deep for good ice-breakers. My plan is to ask everyone about their favorite superpower. I do not think this question is on the prohibition list.
