Kellogg Bands

Hello from 36,000 feet!

As I return from a fun weekend in Montreal, I figure I should give a little update to how the beginning of year 2 is treating me…

Anyhow, as expected, recruiting has been the topic of conversation for most of us here so far. Despite the pretty dismal economic situation, there are still a good number of companies coming for on-campus recruiting. I’ll definitely be testing those waters out first and then depending upon the outcomes, explore my off-campus options. Right now, I’m staying optimistic about things until proven otherwise!

To a more fun subject, the Kellogg bands are up and rocking once again. There are currently two bands made up completely of Kellogg students—Rocket Pockets (80s cover band) and Captains of Industry (hip-hop/rock cover band). I play bass in Captains of Industry and I’m very excited about this upcoming year. Our two guitar players graduated last year, and we’re really excited about our new first-year guitarists and the addition of a second singer.

Basically, it’s been a pretty hectic couple of weeks, and it’s definitely setting up for a busy year. But with just one year left before it’s back to the working world, I definitely have to make the most of it…
