Information Technology Services
The Kellogg School continually invests in facilities and systems to meet the technological needs and interests of students. Each department at the Kellogg School allocates desktop computer hardware and software for the use of its doctoral students. All PhD carrels have network access to connect a laptop either through wireless networking or through a hardwire connection.
Additionally, the Kellogg School of Management will purchase a laptop computer for all admitted doctoral students entering in the fall of 2011. This is a one-time only computer purchase. Laptops purchased are the property of the students who are in good standing, and technical support will be provided by Kellogg Information Systems (KIS), Kellogg's IT group. A student who leaves or fails the program will need to return his or her laptop.
The Kellogg School’s computing labs are designed to provide students with specialized statistical and mathematical software applications and supplemental data resources such as a Bloomberg terminal. Classrooms are equipped with network connectivity and computer projection equipment. Kellogg faculty members integrate technology with the learning experience throughout the curriculum.
To help students make effective use of the necessary computing applications and datasets available at Kellogg, the school hosts a technology training program for new doctoral students during orientation and provides ongoing training and technical support.
