J.A. Adande is the director of sports journalism and associate professor at Medill. Adande was a columnist for ESPN.com for nine years covering the NBA as well as a sideline reporter for NBA games. In addition, he was a panelist for ESPN’s “Around the Horn” for 13 years. During his career, Adande has covered the Olympic Games, Wimbledon, the Super Bowl, the NCAA Final Four, the college football national championships, the NBA Finals, the Masters Golf Tournament and soccer World Cup.

Stephen Anderson State Department Visiting Fellow, The Chicago Council on Global Affairs

Stephen C. Anderson is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service. He served as deputy chief of mission and Chargé d’affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Antananarivo, Madagascar from 2014 to 2017, where he was responsible for restoring full diplomatic relations after a 2009 coup. Previously, he served as spokesperson at the U.S. Embassy in Rome, Italy and has served multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan focused mainly on the management of provincial reconstruction teams. Anderson is the recipient of numerous State Department superior and meritorious honor awards and he holds an M.S. in applied economics and a B.A. in economics from Marquette University.

Bernard (Bernie) Banks is a noted expert on leadership and organizational change. He is the Kellogg School’s associate dean for leadership development and a clinical professor of management. In 2016, Professor Banks retired as brigadier general from the Army, where he led West Point’s Department of Behavioral Sciences & Leadership. He is a graduate of West Point and holds graduate degrees from Northwestern, Columbia and Harvard universities. He earned his Ph.D. in social-organizational psychology from Columbia University.

Carlos Brito Chief Executive Officer, Anheuser-Busch InBev

Carlos Brito is the chief executive officer of Anheuser-Busch InBev. He is a Brazilian citizen and received a degree in mechanical engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and an MBA from Stanford University. Carlos held positions at Shell Oil and Daimler-Benz prior to joining Ambev in 1989. At Ambev, he had roles in finance, operations and sales before he was appointed chief executive officer in January 2004. Carlos was appointed zone president North America at InBev in January 2005 and chief executive officer in December 2005. He is also a member of the board of directors at Ambev.

Emmy Award-winning producer Quentin Carter has been with BTN since its launch in 2007. As the vice president of studio production, Carter is responsible for overseeing all studio operations, including the creation of new programming, development of on-air talent and execution and increase in studio shows. In that capacity, she was the chief economist at the Treasury, leading the Office of Economic Policy in analysis of the U.S. and global economies and financial markets and development of policy recommendations on micro and macroeconomic issues. Eberly's research focuses on finance and macroeconomics. Her work studies firms' capital budgeting decisions and household consumption and portfolio choice. She also examines the interaction of these spending and investment choices with the macroeconomy.

Alastair Fitzpayne serves as executive director of the Future of Work Initiative. Prior to his work at the Aspen Institute, he served as chief of staff at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under Secretary Sylvia Burwell. In addition to serving as chief of staff at HHS, Fitzpayne has held a number of senior roles at the Department of the Treasury during the Obama administration, including deputy chief of staff and assistant secretary for legislative affairs. He has served on Capitol Hill, in both the Senate and the House, as an economic advisor to Sen. Evan Bayh and Rep. Rahm Emanuel, respectively, and previously worked at the Office of Management and Budget as well as Abt Associates, a public policy consulting firm.

Eric Muhlberger was born in Columbus, Ohio and graduated cum laude from Ohio University in 2011. He spent six years prior to Kellogg in Deloitte's IT Advisory and Human Capital Consulting practices, focusing primarily on building out Deloitte's capabilities to bring analytics-driven approaches to human-centered client opportunities. While traveling to Brooklyn for Deloitte, Eric discovered the London-based live music startup, Songs From a Room (Sofar Sounds). He independently founded Chicago’s chapter in 2013 and, with his team, built Chicago into the fourth largest market in the world (out of 370 cities). After transitioning Chicago city leadership responsibilities, Eric guided global expansion and monetization strategies, assisted in executing international experiential marketing programs, and helped secure private fundraising from Sir Richard Branson. Eric comes to Kellogg as a 1Y student with the goal of making "creative disruption" a foundational part of the Kellogg experience.

Nordengaard joined Colgate in 1997 as Assistant Brand Manager for the C-P Nordic Group. He progressed through various roles of increasing responsibility in the subsidiary, including Brand Manager - Fabric Care, Customer Marketing Manager, and Marketing Manager. Nordengaard later moved to GABA Germany as Marketing Director and was promoted to Marketing Director of the GABA Group in 2009. Adam Waytz Associate Professor of Management and Organizations, Kellogg School of Management

Adam Waytz is an associate professor of management and organizations. His research uses methods from social psychology and cognitive neuroscience to study the causes and consequences of perceiving mental states in other agents and to investigate processes related to social influence, social connection, meaning-making and ethics. Professor Waytz's research has been published in leading journals such as Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, and Psychological Review. In recognition of his work, Professor Waytz received the 2008 and 2013 Theoretical Innovation Award from the Society for Personality and Social Psychology, the SAGE Foundation Young Scholar Award, and the International Social Cognition Network's Early Career Award.
