Innovating Social Change – October 14, 2009 - Web site
The 10th Innovating Social Change Conference is the largest social impact event at the Kellogg School. The theme of this year’s conference is Innovation: A Catalyst of Social Change Across Sectors. Too often, discussions about the role of innovation are limited in scope to traditional silos such as microfinance and corporate social responsibility. This conference will bring together speakers from different sectors to share their expertise and develop innovative ways to affect social change. The programming also seeks to define innovation — a sometimes ambiguous concept — more precisely through real-world examples in business design, public-private partnerships and financing. The goal is for participants to exchange structured conversations about innovation as a mechanism for social change and to engage students on the use of policy and business skills to enact that change.
