The ITP Purpose

The International Teachers Program (ITP) is a faculty-development program organized by the International Schools of Business Management (ISBM), a group of ten leading business schools located in Europe and the United States. ITP also welcomes business educators from outside ISBM.

ITP has served over 1,000 high-caliber faculty and educators from many countries since it started more than 30 years ago. During this period, the Program has rotated between ISBM Schools. ITP will be hosted by the Kellogg School of Management in 2010 and 2011.

As we look to the future of business education, the following trends stand out:

bullet

Our students are increasingly diverse in terms of educational background, culture, age, and experience

bullet

The business education environment is increasingly competitive, and the expectations of our students and their prospective employers continue to rise.

bullet

As businesses globalize and the pace and complexity grow, integrative thinking on the part of our graduates is essential for their future success.

bullet

Faculty are being challenged to excel at both research and teaching in an increasingly demanding environment.

The International Teachers Program leverages top educational experts and practitioners drawn from around the world in a highly-interactive learning environment. Participants will leave the Program with improved skills and a greater understanding of a wide range of teaching techniques, styles, methods, and formats.
