Dr. Randall J. Voorn is one of the world's leading authorities on strategic and marketing planning. Dr. Voorn has over 28 years of general, marketing and sales management experience, with industry leaders in the retail, food service and food manufacturing areas. Dr. Voorn is president of Voorn Associates, a strategic and marketing planning consulting services, and executive education services firm.
He serves as a consultant to domestic and international corporations such as the Quaker Oats Company, Abbott Laboratories, Kraft-General Foods Corporation, Coca-Cola Foods and the Sara Lee Corporation.

Dr. Voorn as authored four books in the area of marketing and strategic planning: The Marketing Plan Made Simple (Voorn Associates), A Marketing Plan Primer (James Publishing, Ltd.), The International Marketing Plan Workbook (James Publishing, Ltd.) and Great Sales Closers. He has also written over 100 research reports and articles for private corporations, non-profit organizations and business journals.

Dr. Voorn teaches marketing strategy courses (since 1990) at the Kellogg School of Management.

This course takes an analytical approach to the study of marketing problems of business firms and other types of organizations. Attention focuses on the influence of the marketplace and the marketing environment on marketing decision making; the determination of the organization's products, prices, channels and communication strategies; and the organization's system for planning and controlling its marketing effort.
