Joseph S. Moag is Professor Emeritus of Management and Organizations. He joined the faculty in 1960.

Professor Moag's research focused on communication behavior, and formal and informal organizational structures. His articles have appeared in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Bank Research, Journal of Business, and other scholarly publications. He has been a research consultant in the Kellogg School's Banking Research Center (now the Financial Institutions and Banking Research Center) and a member of the faculty of Northwestern's Institute for Management. He has worked with major corporations, including IBM, U.S. Gypsum, the First National Bank of Chicago, Peoples Gas Company, Harris Bank and Trust Company, and Stone Container Corporation. He retired from Kellogg in 1995.
