Annette Krauss is a Senior Lecturer at the Kellogg School of Management’s Social Enterprise at Kellogg (SEEK) program, where she teaches a social entrepreneurship in developing countries course.
Dr. Krauss came to the Kellogg school with considerable experience as a professional in international development. From 2000 to 2005, she served as the microfinance training specialist and manager at the United Nations Capital Development Fund in New York. She was responsible for training development practitioners around the world in sound funding practices for microfinance. She started her career in 1996 at North-South-Dialogue, a not-for profit in Germany specializing in development policy and education through exposure and dialogue programs.
Dr. Krauss’s holds a PhD from Bochum University in International Trade and Development and a Master in Economics from Trier University. Her current research and teaching interests include how businesses and social entrepreneurs can serve poor and low-income customers in developing countries, with a focus on industries as diverse as microfinance, global health and consumer goods.
