Media Management MEDM
Offered by the Media Management Program

Students are required to take three foundations courses:

MEDM 432 Understanding the Media and its Content (formerly MEDM 912)
MEDM 431 Media and Integrated Marketing
MEDM 911 Media Strategy and Implementation

and one Independent Study Project (MEDM 499) or a course from Kellogg or a course from Medill, either from the Journalism or IMC programs—the key is that the course fits with the major and serves the student’s goals and interests. (In order for this course to count toward the Media Management major, the student must receive the approval of the Media Management faculty).

All students (from the Kellogg School and anywhere else at Northwestern) must take these courses in the following sequence: MEDM 432; MEDM 431; MEDM 911. With the exception of One-Year students, no exceptions will be made to this policy.

Students who wish to major in Media Management are highly encouraged to take an Independent Study. (Note: the Independent Study is optional.)
