Each PhD Program at the Kellogg School of Management has a written Program Guidelines document that provides a year-to-year outline of the expectations and degree requirements that their PhD students should satisfy each year. These requirements include coursework, written papers, paper presentations, prelim exams, qualifying exam, proposal (or “prospectus”), final exam/dissertation defense, and more.  This Program Guidelines document serves as Kellogg’s contract with the PhD students.  Any questions about the terms of the Program Guidelines should be directed to the program's Director of Graduate Studies.
