2008 Big Ten Case Competition
In April 2008, four CPU students — Micah Friedland, Karan Kapur, Jason Wang and Liridon Rrushav— represented Northwestern at the first Accenture Leadership Center Big Ten Leadership Case Competition in Madison, Wis.
Teams from the Big Ten schools analyzed a Harvard Business School case about leadership and management issues faced by Best Buy in recent years, and then recommended solutions and an action plan to address the issues.
Three former Accenture consultants judged the teams' recommendations and presentations. While the Northwestern team didn’t win, they were commended by the judges for their approach and creativity.
The students received help preparing for the competition from David Morse, a second year Kellogg MBA student, and Professor Jan Eberly, academic director of the Certificate Program.
