Professor Bassamboo completed his Ph.D. in Operations, Information and Technology at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. His research interests lie in the areas of service systems, revenue management and information sharing. His current research involves designing flexible service systems with a focus on capacity planning and effects of parameter uncertainty. He is also studying credibility (or lack thereof) of information provided by a service provider or a retailer to its customers.

Rakesh V. Vohra has published widely in game theory and operations research. His area of expertise is auction theory and pricing. In addition he serves on a number of editorial boards and is co-editor of the International Journal of Game Theory.

Snehal Banerjee joined the Kellogg School of Management in 2007. He has a BA from Brandeis University (2002) and a PhD from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business (2007). His research interests include information, learning and disagreement in financial markets, liquidity, behavioral finance and asset pricing. His current research involves studying the effects of investor disagreement on asset prices and trading volume.

David Dranove holds a PhD in Economics from Stanford University. His research focuses on problems in industrial organization and business strategy with an emphasis on the health care industry. He has published nearly 75 research articles and book chapters and written five books, including The Economic Evolution of American Healthcare and What’s Your Life Worth? His textbook, The Economics of Strategy, is used by leading business schools around the world. His latest book, Code Red, was published by Princeton University Press in 2008.

Professor Martin A. Lariviere joined the faculty at the Kellogg School of Management in 2000. Professor Lariviere’s research has focused on applying economic analysis to operations management problems. Much of his work has focused on supply chain contracting, examining how contract terms can improve supply chain performance. He has also studied how the behavior of self-interested customers impacts service operations. He received his PhD from Stanford University. Prior to joining Kellogg, he was an Associate Professor at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Norman Strunk Professor of Financial Institutions

Michael Fishman is the Norman Strunk Professor of Financial Institutions. Professor Fishman has published widely in finance and economics. His research focuses on financial market regulation and contracting. Recently, he has investigated insider trading, disclosure regulations, the role of self-regulatory organizations, and long-term financial contracting. He has won a number of research awards including the Smith Breeden Prize, awarded by the American Finance Association. .
